This artwork of Faye was inspired by the scenic landscape from “The Wind Rises”, a Japanese historical anime by Studio Ghibli.
Faye watched and loved Studio Ghibli films. Once she had a chance to visit the Studio Ghibli Museum in Japan – “where dreams has taken flight” – there she discovered the remarkable technical & creative process of producing animations.
The museum became her favourite place where she longed to go back to again, especially during the pandemic and the animes that were showcased there also inspired many of her artworks.

Faye previously posted this artwork on Twitter with the caption “Brightness to give away”. For me, when I look at this artwork, it makes me smile and reminds me of Faye’s smiles that lit up my day. Every time I look at it, I can see her smiling at me.

ภาพนี้บางคนอาจจะมองว่าเป็นภาพธรรมดาเเต่สำหรับหนูเเล้ว เวลามองภาพนี้มันทำให้หนูยิ้มได้เเละภาพรอยยิ้มที่แสนสดใสของปอฝ้ายก็จะย้อนกลับมา ทุกครั้งที่ได้มองเหมือนเค้ากำลังยิ้มเเบบนั้นให้หนูอีกครั้งเลยค่ะ
