The title “Red String of Fate” originates from the believe in Japanese legends that there is a connection between people through their blood veins, their hearts and promises that were made between each other.
Faye believed in parallel universes, in links that transcend space and time. This can be seen in this artwork which blends the face of Renjun NCT (who Faye said that if he was a woman he surely would be very beautiful) with Violet Evergarden, the leading female character in the anime of the same name, whose pretty appearance belies the depth and strength of her character – a trait that Faye admired.

Art is where we can dream without fear. Faye might have felt that too.
This artwork is the result of combining Renjun from NCT, Faye’s favourite K-Pop group, and Violet Evergarden, her favourite anime character.
She persuaded me many times to watch this anime and I finally watches it. It has a profound story with perfect animation which I just cannot take my eyes off. To me, this artwork represents very well Faye’s thought, favour and her identity.
